Christchurch v Burton Sunday 24th October 2010

Christchurch v Burton
Match Result: 2 – 1
Goal Scorers: Aaron, Jared
An early goal from Burton was a set back for a Christchurch team who were trying to get back to winning ways after an exciting draw last week. A corner from Burton caused trouble for goal keeper Alex, who has started to look superb in between the sticks. Spells of good play from both sides set up an exciting game. But Christchurch were trailing at the mid way point.
A stronger second half performance as per usual by the team resulted in Aaron grabbing a goal early on. Impressive performances as a team collectively caused great pressure on Burton. Although, Alex kept the side in contention with some brave saves. Also, Sam, Andrew and Jordan kept the team from conceding. Combined attacking play by Josh and Aaron resulted in Jared scoring with virtually the last kick of the game, resulting in all 3 points for Christchurch.

Christchurch v Mudeford Swans Sunday October 18th 2009

Christchurch v Mudeford Swans
Match Result: 2 – 6
Goal Scorers: Charlie, Mikey.
The boys started well, with Jaidon making a good save. Unfortunately being a boy down Mudeford took full advantage and scored. The boys rallied to the challenge and held strong in defence. With some good team work between Jack and Mikey they lined Charlie up to score, bringing the score level. Mudeford scored twice more. Christchurch had a shot on goal which was saved. The first half ended 3 – 1 to Mudeford.
The second half started strongly for Christchurch with Mikey scoring. Beau played strongly in defence working hard to keep Mudeford out. Unfortunately being a boy down, Christchurch began to tire; Mudeford took full advantage and scored 3 more times. The boys never stopped battling till the final whistle.
Well done it was a great game to watch.

Kings Park Dynamos v Christchurch Sunday October 11th 2009

Kings Park Dynamos v Christchurch
Match Result: 3 – 2
Goal Scorers: Mikey, Cameron
The boys kicked off and made a flying start, passing the ball quickly catching Dynamos sleeping in their goal mouth. Cameron scored, knocking the ball in from a lovely pass.
Dynamos had a couple of good chances, but the boys defended well to keep them out. The ball was exchanged between the teams in the midfield to make it an execiting first half. Then not long before the end of the first half Dynamos scored to bring the game level. The second half started in the same high speed as the first, with both teams battling in the middle of the pitch to dominate. Dynamos got the upper hand by scoring again. Following the goal Jaidon made a couple of good saves to keep us in the game. The boys took the ball to the other end and Charlie scored – which was unfortunely disallowed by the referee. Yet they kept plugging away and with a great team effort between Jack, Mikey and Charlie – Mikey scored. This brought the game level again. For the rest of the game there was action at both ends of the pitch. Neither team wanted to lose. Five minutes before the end our boys took the ball up the field and unfortunely left themselves exposed at the back, Dynamos took advantage of this and scored just before the final whistle.
A big congratulations to Cameron for his first goal for Christchurch you deserve it. Everyone on the team should be proud of yourselves, you all played well, it was an enjoyable game to watch.
